Denis Mackenzie is a Chief Operations Officer (COO) currently working in the international marketing industry. He started his career as an associate for a local firm that was selling insurance policies for a nationwide company. Mr. Mackenzie was raised in a small town where family values were put above everything else. He attended a local high school before going to college. During that time, he also became highly interested in traveling. Given his new desire to see the world, he soon left the United States in pursuit of foreign grounds. His trips took him to some of the most popular destinations in Greece, France, Italy, and more. After breathing in the new experiences and meeting a plethora of new people, he came back to the U.S.
Interest in Winery
Although Denis Mackenzie is an extremely successful COO for a large company, his hidden passion revolves around wine. At the age of 40, he currently owns one of the most popular wineries in the nation. The location he picked for it is in the Lake Erie Wine Country Region. Given the relative approximate of his winery to some large cities, he gets no shortage of visitors looking to taste his goods.
When it comes to the sources that ignited Mr. Mackenzie’s passion for wine, he often cites his 10-year travel. In fact, visiting the worldwide-known, wine-tasting events in Italy helped him decide to get personally involved. So, upon his return in 2001, he opened the aforementioned winery that is still growing to this day.
Extracurricular Events and Activities
In order to give back to his community, Denis Mackenzie organizes frequent tours and wine-tasting events. People are invited to participate and experience some of the world’s best flavors. Additionally, he does many sip-and-paint events where all contributions are forwarded to charitable organizations. In fact, these events became so successful that he took them to the national stage. Meaning, he now invites individuals from across the United States to come and enjoy the atmosphere.

One of the main reasons behind Mr. Mackenzie’s success in professional life comes from his timelines. He often preaches the importance of remaining reliable as an employee and putting client’s needs first. Throughout all the ranks that he was involved with, he prioritized teaching his subordinates these important principles. As a consequence, many of his associates see him as a mentor that helped them become more successful.
Winery Promotion
After starting his winery in 2001, although he had business experience, this connoisseur had to learn how to promote the venture. First, he started by reaching out to the locals via traditional outlets like newsletters and the mail. After generating enough buzz to host the first event, he moved on to focus on exceptional customer service. From that point on, his winery became self-sustainable in a sense that it attracted people effortlessly. In addition, the sheer offering of wines that are present makes many people come back. That means that the word-of-mouth referrals continuously help the venture.
Future Projects
As with all of his up-to-date work, Mr. Mackenzie is looking to many more years of success. Given his track record and countless client relationships, it seems more than likely that he will be a COO for the foreseeable future. Additionally, his winery is showing no signs of slowing down and visitors are more interested than ever before. So, it is fair to assume that he will soon work on expansion projects to increase the capabilities of his facility.
As far as other ventures, he is likely to continue throwing charitable events for the locals. Doing so helps him give back to the community while utilizing his winery to its full potential. And not to forget that traveling opportunities are always on his radar. He did, after all, spend an entire decade living and studying abroad at one point!
